Hi Brian - that's a great idea. We'll track down some alternatives and post as soon as possible. From memory, though, there should be a few cheap hotels nearby if you don't want to stay at the con site.

Hi,

Information on them should be available now - nominations were announced on the mailing lists mid last week, but after some online debate I felt it better to make sure everything here was accurate before posting.

Bill: Roman will be contacting you shortly. :)

I'd hope to have the email address in place, but first we wanted to make sure that someone is designated to oversee it. So there should be something in place after tonight's meeting, when the appropriate person shall be volunteered.

Adrienne: I don't have the details on hand, but Roman tells me that he'll be sending something along asap. In the meantime I've added your contact details to the project page, and tagged them to be handled asap.

The Conjecture website http://www.conjecture2009.org/ should include at least one email address for enquiries...
... suggest info@conjecture2009.org

Otherwise, thanks for starting the ball rolling on the 48th natcon. The lack of info on Conjecture 2009 was the main topic of discussion in all Melbourne fan groups during February 2009. The Continuum collective were starting to exhibit delusions of grandeur, thinking they might snaffle the natcon. The emergence of updates to the Conjecture 2009 website scotched that.

I would like space on the programme to discuss two major recent initiatives of the Australian Science Fiction Foundation (ASFF) http://home.vicnet.net.au/~asff/. Would Roman Orszanski or the Conjecture programme director please contact me at bil@iprimus.com.au to discuss the matter.

I will be attending Conjecture 2009 and have already booked hotel accommodation at the convention site.
